Deadlock Matchmaking Hours: When Can You Play in Your Region?
Valve’s MOBA shooter Deadlock is in full swing but the invite-only playtest is restricted to certain timings in every region. So, even if you are excited to try out your new Haze build after a day full of work, chances are, you have only a few hours to enjoy the game. Well, you can get rid of that issue if you know the Deadlock matchmaking hours. So, if you are also looking for the exact Deadlock matchmaking hours including a way to bypass it then keep reading!
When Can You Play Deadlock in Your Region?
Unfortunately, the matchmaking is time-locked during the Deadlock playtest. This means there are designated timings for each region when you will be able to queue for a game. Once the time is over, the matchmaking will be disabled. Matchmaking hours are different for weekdays and weekends, so keep that in mind.
Your local timings are shown on the game’s main menu (reference image below). When you are eligible to play, the status bar will show a text with a timer that says when matchmaking ends in your local time.
As the matchmaking is locked in local times, checking the timings for other regions through the game can be difficult. There is a set time for the queue wherever you are located and it will automatically be in local time. Here is a list of Deadlock matchmaking hours of all regions in Eastern Time:
Deadlock Matchmaking Hours (Monday-Thursday)
- North America: 4 PM to 6 AM Eastern Time
- Europe: 8 AM to 9 PM Eastern Time
- Asia: 2 AM to 3 PM Eastern Time
- South America: 2 PM to 3 AM Eastern Time
- Oceania: 11 PM to 1 PM Eastern Time
Deadlock Matchmaking Hours (Friday-Sunday)
- North America: 12 PM to 6 AM Eastern Time
- Europe: 4 AM to 9 PM Eastern Time
- Asia: 10 PM to 3 PM Eastern Time
- South America: 10 AM to 3 AM Eastern Time
- Oceania: 7 PM to 1 PM Eastern Time
How to Change Deadlock Matchmaking Timer
As of now, the Deadlock matchmaking timer is region locked. The game also does not have a dedicated button to change the region to play on a different server timer. However, you can change the Deadlock server region to play beyond the timer of your local server.
This will allow you to match with players from the selected region. Keep in mind that your ping will be bad when you are playing on different servers. To change the region, first, you must open your console by pressing F7 on the keyboard. Now, type any of the following commands to switch your server to that region:
- Automatic: citadel_region_override -1
- North America: citadel_region_override 0
- Europe: citadel_region_override 1
- Asia: citadel_region_override 2
- South America: citadel_region_override 3
- Oceania: citadel_region_override 5
And these are all the Deadlock matchmaking hours in every region. Now that you know when you can play Deadlock in your region and how to change it, will you try a different server as well? Tell us in the comments below.
